I intern for a company called V3 Media Marketing. This is my first internship, and I am excited to say I am very happy with it. V3 is giving me hands-on experience and a chance to observe what life in the video production field is really like. On Friday February 27, I joined V3 as they headed from their studio in Fort Collins down to Denver to shoot the Colorado AMA’s Rev Up 360 Conference. I was lucky enough to experience a video shoot, so I took some behind-the-scenes pictures to share.

Founder and owner Logan Hale runs this company with the help of his team of creative specialists. In-house the team consists of Logan, Owner and Creative Director, his wife Noelle Hale who is the Executive Director, Sean Korbitz is the Editor, and Nick Adams is the Digital Media Producer. V3 also has a support staff of freelancers across the country which helps them serve their clients.
What I think really stands out about V3 against other video marketing companies is their 360-degree marketing approach. They don’t believe in just creating the video and handing it over to the client. V3 puts a lot of time and effort into getting their clients views and engagement (using Youtube, social media, etc.) once the video has been produced and distributed.

Video is huge right now and is not fading anytime soon. Using video to market a company or brand is so beneficial. With print fading and social media rising, video has really found its place in the world of marketing. With video, viewers get the information they need faster and in a more interesting and visually appealing form. V3 has become really excited about this new generation of video consumers, but there is also a negative to it. With smart phones and social media, people are able to make videos on their own at any time. V3 and other video marketing companies alike have to reach a very high bar for their production value to stand out.
I have only been interning at V3 for about two months now and feel I have already learned so much. Not just about video production, but about social media, SEO, blogging and even little things such as keeping projects organized and how to have professional phone calls with clients. Some days there is editing to be done or a shoot to go to, while other days are spent in the office getting business aspects taken care of. Though those office days are not as fun as being out in the field, they are just as important for me to experience. Without the business, finance, and office work there would be no videos to produce. So, I truly appreciate every moment I am with V3, learning and growing as a future video producer.
Of course I have to end my post with a plug to V3. So, if you ever need marketing or branding done for your company, or know someone who does, give V3 a call. No commitment is made from one phone call. I am confident that if you call and talk to Logan, he will come up with a vision you will be very excited about.
